In 1970, Chevrolet wanted a little more 'luxurious' version of the popular SS-Chevelle. It would be built on the same A body frame as the Chevelle with a slightly longer wheelbase and have the same powerful LS5 454. It would have the same rally gauges but with a wood grain finish and also feature a few more creature comforts and a smoother ride. There were only 3800 of these cars made, which explains why they are rarely seen. And when you do find one, they are rarely this original and in this condition. And you will almost never see the original factory auto leveling suspension system still in place! The LS5 454 in this car is a warranty replacement from 1970 and is correctly stamped CE, 1970 and has been in the car since then. The 12 bolt posi rear and 400 turbo transmission are also original to the car. The fenders and quarter appear to be original and show no signs of any collision repair. This car is very straight and runs and drives excellent. The paint and interior are excellent and correct to the build sheet. In fact, the whole car is very correct to the build sheet! This is a beautiful un-restored survivor in excellent condition. A rare car in rare original condition!
